A changeling, is a replacement of a human child stolen by the faeries. They are faery children, and according to a story by W.B Yeats are able to talk. If they reveal their true selves they will be forced to return to Tira na nog. The mother in the story boiled egg shells, prompting the changeling to ask what she was cooking. A powerful Fairy queen. Depicted rather poorly in several stories like Harry Potter, but according to folklore she was one of the good ones. Morgan   was a beautiful and very powerful priestess and queen living around the time of King Arthur. She presided over the sisterhood of nine who lived on the enchanted island of Avalon . She was benevolent, helping Arthur throughout his life. Her demotation to sinister enchantress, came simultaneously with the denigration of Fairy by medieval christian writers. They called her a witch and sorceress due to the fear of feminine wisdom and natural magic. The Beansidhe or Banshee is one of my favourite faeries. A female spirit from Irish mythology, she is seen as the omen of death and messenger from the other side. This faery begins to wail if someone is going to die. It was thought at first that they foretold the death of the privileged but their have been exceptions. The banshee, usually appears are an ugly, old hag but has also been seen as a beautiful woman of any age. It is said that King John I(King of Scotland) was approached by a banshee that foretold his death. In some legends the banshee is said to actually be the Irish battle goddess the Morrigan I know she seems like a dismal spirit, but she uses her power of premonition, to help humans (who are regarded as beneath the fey) which is why she is a favourite of mine. A paranormal horse from Celtic legend. Usually black in colour , however some tales speak of a white horse. It is known by its wet mane. It appears to be a lost pony usually roaming near water. Kelpies can transform in to beautiful woman or men drawing their victims to their pools and ultimately their death.   Gangcanagh , means the'lover talker' . This is a male Irish faerie that is known for seducing women. They are thought to have a toxin in their skin that makes the humans they seduce  literally, addicted to them. The women seduced by this faery usually die from withdrawal, pinning away from their love of this amorous creature. Girls beware of the gangcanagh in your life. Nivi
